Host Firms Wanted!
STEMcx Summer Architectural Internship
STEMcx, in partnership with Bmore NOMA, is seeking architecture firms in the Baltimore region to participate in the Summer 2023 Architecture Practicum for high school students. Firms only need to commit to hosting one student for one 4-hour session which should include shadowing experiences, design exercises, one-on-one discussions with team members, or construction tours.
This summer practicum program was created to inspire underrepresented minority high school students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines and give them positive experiences that will hopefully last a lifetime. Practicums place students in an eight-week paid summer experience working directly with educators, local companies, and community organizations in STEM areas. Costs will be covered by the STEMcx program.
