About the Scholarship
The Bmore NOMA ARE Scholarship is an initiative of the Baltimore Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (Bmore NOMA), created to provide direct support to emerging Black and underrepresented designers on the path to architectural licensure.
Licensure remains a critical milestone in the architecture profession, yet financial barriers—especially the cost of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) and related resources—often create disproportionate challenges for marginalized professionals. This scholarship seeks to level the playing field by easing the financial burden and encouraging more equitable access to licensure.
