About The Event

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a national network that was founded in 1974 by a group of female scientists and educators. It was their goal to encourage young women to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. BMore NOMA will be co-participating with the AIA Future Architects Resources Committee for this Expand Your Horizons Event. We will do a small workshop teaching girls about our field and 3-4 interactive activities about scale, structure and design. There are 2 sessions throughout the day with approximately 10-12 student per class.

Volunteers Needed: 4

Task:

Create a fun interactive activity for the girls

Create a titleblocks for girls to use for scale activity with AIA & NOMA logo

Create easy to understand scales/rulers (1/4”=1 one side , 1”=1 other side)

Present PowerPoint to girls (contact Ariana for PowerPoint)
