This session will provide an in-depth overview of the evolving role of masonry in sustainable design, with a focus on LEED v4.1.

As sustainability becomes a central pillar of modern building practices, the LEED v4.1 updates have reshaped how masonry is evaluated in green building certification. This presentation will highlight the key differences between LEED v4.1 and previous versions, and explain how today’s masonry products are already engineered to meet the new standards with minimal modifications. We’ll also explore insulated concrete masonry systems (ICMS) and foam panel systems.
