Volunteer w. Second Chance

We invite volunteers to join us in supporting this impactful mission. Your efforts will aid in their deconstruction and salvage activities, directly contributing to a greener planet and helping individuals gain valuable skills for their future careers.  Let’s make a difference together!

Parking: Ample parking is available in the lot behind the stone inventory, suitable for personal vehicles, vans, and buses.

Arrival Details:

• Meeting Point: Volunteers will be met at the entrance with Red Doors and an American flag.
• Initial Assembly: The group will gather in the Training Room for a brief history of Second Chance, an introduction to its mission, and a short video featuring associates' stories and experiences.

Volunteer Activities:

• Sorting and stacking doors and windows
• Preparing materials for pricing and merchandising
• Removing nails from deconstruction inventory wood

Skills & Experience Needed: A desire to learn about Second Chance and to work alongside associates, many of whom are returning citizens.

Dress Code:

• Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required.
• Midriff and crop tops are prohibited.
• Be prepared for warm conditions and to get dirty.
• Consider the weather when choosing attire, as tasks may be indoors or outdoors.

Health Awareness:

• If volunteers feel unwell, have a fever, or exhibit any cold or flu symptoms, they should not attend.
• Temperature checks and other health procedures may be implemented as appropriate.

Additional Considerations:

• Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Water stations will be provided.
• All necessary safety equipment, including gloves and safety glasses, will be supplied.
• Volunteers must complete the Volunteer Waiver Form in advance: Volunteer Waiver Form. Paper forms will be available on-site for those unable to complete it beforehand.
